SoonerCon is a fan run multi-genre convention held annually in Oklahoma City.
SoonerCon 1 happened twenty one years ago, in June of 1986. The con was begun and ramrodded by the Chair of SoonerCon 1, Mike Hodge. What he and many other helpers achieved lasted through SoonerCon 13 in 1997. Lots of artist and writer guests, from Tim Powers and Gene Wolfe to Brad Foster and Robin Bailey, were welcomed to Oklahoma City. During those years SoonerCon had hundreds of staff and helpers, and up until the last few years SoonerCon was “owned” by STAR OKC.

The Steam Engine Intrepid will be covering this for WGTR and is going to take the Bayou con by storm as they hunt down everyone and everything at this event. Southwest Louisiana's Comic Book and Popularized Culture Convention. The annual event provides the best in programming which is a mix of film, media, music, Sci-Fi and more. BayouCon will again take place at the Lake Charles Civic Center, however, we have moved to the Exhibition Hall. This means that the convention will be able to offer a better quality event for all of our fans.

Ink For A Cause is a three-day tattoo convention advocating generosity through body art. A portion of the profits will benefit this years featured charity: School on Wheels. School on Wheels, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1993 by Agnes Stevens, a retired teacher. The mission of School on Wheels is to enhance educational opportunities for homeless children from kindergarten through twelfth grade.

Steaming up the Future - OctopodiCon offers the unique opportunity to work towards earning novelty degrees in Steampunk. This year is Freshman Rush, with beginner classes (and a few advanced ones for the precocious) and an abbreviated collegiate experience. To take classes and get supplies to make things, one needs to pre-register, but anyone can audit the classes and take notes!
